WOW !! As I sit here with my morning joe, thousands of kilometres and worlds away in Kelowna, BC....I allow tears to well, and my heart to swell as I read your wonderful recanting of your Manitoba travels! Strangely, having to grow up "tough" North of the fifty-fifth, has left me pleasantly vulnerable to wafts of sentiments and sensitivities. Thanks for your beautifully flowing pen, Mom, and your stellar pictures and insights, Rick. You have managed to bring me back home to my Manitoba roots and realize once again that ..... we are all that we come from, and only in embracing that entity, that we may chart the path to where we are going to be. When asked, I will never say that I was an orphan from Oklahoma (a.k.a. Bob Dylan) but will proudly state my origins as " Thompson, Manitoba" .

Every day, I am thankful for all that both of you are, and the awe inspiring journey that you have undertaken, both in travel and in life. Glenda and I are tucked up, cozy under your wings peeking out thru your eyes at the forever unfolding Mother !

Thanks for letting us stow away and soar with you!
